Description
The Integrated Natural Resource Management Group for the South Australian Murray-Darling Basin Inc. (SA MDB INRM Group) was formed by the South Australian Government to lead and coordinate the efforts of the various groups involved in natural resource management within the region.
The principle purpose of the Group has been to prepare an Integrated Natural Resource Management Plan and accompanying Investment Strategies for the region. The plan draws together the strategies, actions, knowledge and resources of multiple groups to achieve integrated natural resource management across the whole region.
The INRM Group is responsible for the delivery of National Action Plan for Salinity Water Quality (NAP) and Natural Heritage Trust (NHT) Programs within the South Australian Murray-Darling Basin. A targeted approach has been adopted through the development of the Investment Strategy. This business plan is reviewed annually.
Investment Strategies underpin the SA MDB INRM Plan and represents a bridge between key issues, strategies and targets in the plan and on-ground programs to implement the plan.
